      It seems that the smolina, made from natural hard wheat, was well known in North Africa before the Arab conquest (2nd part of the seventh century). They then developed a kind of vegetable broth, to accompany the smolina, giving rise to the couscous.


      THE MAIN COURSE :

Couscous with 7 vegetables, with meat, is a recipe of home cooking for excellence that is regularly used during weddings and religious celebrations.

      YOUR MENU :

In addition to this dish, you wiil  prepare by yourself these other recipes that form a traditional Moroccan menu:

- harira soup, high energy,

- a Moroccan pancake: beghrir or M'semmen,

- a Moroccan pastry,

- the detailed preparation of tea mint.


Moroccan cooking class : COUSCOUS WITH SEVEN VEGETABLES

The preparation time of cooking classe is about 3 hours so as to give you enough time to prepare by yourself all these recipes. The course continues by sharing a meal in a Moroccan living room, and in respect of rites and customs of traditional Moroccan meal.


The rate includes the following services:

  • utensils and raw materials,
  • guide spoken (Arabic French English) in charge of translation and good progress of workshop,
  • tasting of the realized recipes which will be served to you in the Moroccan salon of your host,
  • 5 sorts of traditional Moroccan spices,
  • 3 recipe cards available in French or English.
  • The advantages during the workshop: photographing, a present from ateliers d'ailleurs
  • The advantages after the workshop:.emailing your photos, participation certificate, recipe sheets.

Options :

  • supplement for transport from our meeting point (medina or guéliz) : 150dhs/14e (1pers) ; 120dhs/11e (2pers) ; 90dhs/8e (3pers or +), round-trip per personn.

We had an excelent time at the cooking workshop! the teacher was very skilfull and both guides were very fun, knowledgeable and helpful. I got to feel a little bit like a Moroccan during this workshop, probably my favourite part of my visit to Morocco sor far.
