      The tagine is a family friendly meal . For the tasting, the assembly gathered together around the dish which has been placed on a coffee table. Everyone uses the right hand, using a piece of traditional bread. The fingers should takes only the bite chosen without affecting the rest of the meal.


      THE MAIN COURSE:

Vegetables are a set of basic food of Berber cuisine, vegetables tagine that Aisha offers is a perfect illustration.


      YOUR MENU:

In addition to this dish, you will also realize  the Berber's preparations :

- two kinds of developped Berber salads,

- the traditional bread,

- a traditional dessert made from fruit  or vegetable juice.


Moroccan Cooking class : VEGETABLES TAJINE

      The cooking classes are approximately 3 hours of preparation, and continues with dinner in a Moroccan living room, in respect of rites and customs of traditional Moroccan meal.

During this time, you will be assisted by Loubna , she is  Aisha's daughter, student in Marrakech, which will be your accompanist.

Your workshop includes the following:

  • equipment and materials,
  • the presence of an accompanying trilingual French, English, Arabic "for the translation and good progress of workshop,
  • tasting of the realized recipes which will be served to you in the Moroccan salon of your host,  
  • 5 sorts of traditional Moroccan spices,
  • 3 recipe cards available in French or English.
  • The advantages during the workshop: photographing, a present from ateliers d'ailleurs
  • The advantages after the workshop:.emailing your photos, participation certificate, recipe sheets.

Options :

  • supplement for transport from our meeting point (medina or guéliz) : 150dhs/14e (1pers) ; 120dhs/11e (2pers) ; 90dhs/8e (3pers or +), round-trip per personn.

My experience in the cooking class exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for this type of event.  I learned a lot about cooking delicious, traditional Moroccan food and much more about the people, customs and culture.
You and Boussra, (I hope I spelled her name correctly), made me feel very comfortable and I appreciate your kindness. I will always remember this experience and have already told many of my friends that this is something they should do if they are traveling to Marakkech

We are looking forward to sharing today with our family and friends in the UK. One day, when you come to England, you can visit us in Leeds and we will cook you (or show you how to cook) a traditional Yorkshire pudding!!
