The zellige is a gray terra cotta tile, stemmed from Fes, covered with enamel in one side to give it colour. The craftsman cuts these tiles into small pieces of various shapes which afterward going to assemble to create compositions often very complex.

This first 5 hour training course is more diversified because you can practice the mosaic artcraft, but also the zellige scratched which consist in removing the enamel in some places of a tile to bring up a drawing.

The workshop is a cooperative which employs a dozen master craftsmen (maalems) or workmen; you thus have ample opportunity to observe professionals and ask questions.

During practical activities you make the cutting of small parts that you can assemble later. You work also scratching a tile zellige to make a drawing of your choice.

The ^program of your zellige training course includes:

between 3 hours and a half and 4 hours of _practice during you work ^cutting and finishing of pieces zellige and technical zellige ^scratched;
a _tea-break in company of ^Mohamed, craftsmen zellige;
_explanations and demonstrations concerning in particular the raw materials and ^assembly technique.

The ^{following services} are included in your zellige course:

the presence of an _{experimented professional} during the whole workshop and the necessary tools and raw materials for your practical work;
the presence of a ^guide in charge of the translation, who will ensure the good progress of the workshop and assist you in a general way.
