Like many Moroccan artcrafts, Moroccan jewellery-making is organized around two distinct currents of influence: Berber jewellery, made in the South of Morocco (Tiznit, Taroudant), which uses prinicpally silver and bronze; and the citadine jewellery, typical of Fes, Rabat, Tangier, which uses noble materials such as gold and precious stones.
At Jawad's, considered the best jeweller in Morocco during several years, you discover the history of the Moroccan jewellery-making, the various styles and materials used, the different techniques implemented.
You will learn the crucial phases of a jewel's creation as It Is Practiced in a crafts workshop.
Practical work will allow you to realize a model of your choice; Jawad's help guarantees a creation of quality, even with beginners! Drawing, cutting, filing down, finishing and polishing will have no more secrets for you.
The program of your jewellery-making training course includes:
- 3 hours of practice for the realization of a jewel which you will keep with you;
- a tea-break in the company of Jawad, jeweller and craftsman;
- information and explanations concerning the Moroccan jewellery-making activity.
The following services are included in your jewellery-making course:
- the presence of an experimented professional during the whole workshop and the necessary tools and raw materials for your practical work;
- the presence of a guide in charge of the translation, who will ensure the good progress of the workshop and assist you in a general way;
