Embroidery workshop of association Al kawtar
The al Kawtar's workshop , where the embroidery courses are held in, is situated in the heart of the R'mila's area , south-west of the medina, in a lovely traditional Moroccan house dating from 1950.
It enters from the street by a narrow lane that leads to a front room converted into an office.
The workshop itself, located on the left is very large, high ceiling and luminous, it looks like a patio and is furnished in the manner of a Moroccan living room, with benches around the room and tables arranged here and there, for the comfort of everyone.
In this place full of charm, there is also a kitchen where prepared different meals that punctuate the day, and a floor which can be seen corridors adorned with balustrades.
In the quiet of this beautiful place that working women of association. Sit on a bench and watch embroidery, discuss, exchange and multicolored fabrics and know-how; and they inspire you to start with them the manual work: an entire program, rich in cultural exchanges and human relations.
At the break, the cook of the association provides m'semens - Moroccan pancakes - and tea mint , prepared by themselves. The opportunity to mingle once more to the team and share a moment of their lives in tranquility so enjoyable workshop.
Our meeting with these exceptional women and the preparation of these workshops have provided an immense pleasure and great satisfaction. Our goal with embroidery course is to pass the baton in letting you immerse yourself gently in this stimulating atmosphere, which is clear and grew spiritually moved.
