eXPLORaILLEURS OF THE WEEK: Ismail & Patwary discover Moroccan cuisine

The ExplorAilleurs are men, women (and children!) trying the adventure of our workshops. We share with you their achievements and impressions!

Ismail and Patwary booked a cooking workshop through the Riad Khabia (located Berrima neighborhood).
Our guide met them in the Jma El Fna square to take them to Aisha's house in the Medina.
After 3 hours of preparation, they enjoyed a Mrouzia tagine (specialty of Marrakech, containing prunes) a salad, a soup, a traditional Moroccan bread and a fruit and vegetable juice.

We are pleased to have been able to make the first Bangladeshis ExplorAilleurs discover the Moroccan cuisine.

Patwary says that it was "a great experience" and Ismail mostly loved "the behavious and hospitality of both the cook and the guide"

EXPERT WORDS: how to recognize the gold quality in Morocco?

By frequenting the professionals of  traditional Moroccan know-how everyday, we discover tips, useful information ... we do not hesitate to share them with you!

Buying gold or silver jewelry  in Morocco is quite interesting because the handcrafted quality is very good, especially the region of Tiznit.
However, it is still necessary to be able to to recognize the different qualities of gold ...

gold is actually a gold, nickel and other metals alloy. The more carats, the purer the gold is. In Morocco we Find 18, 22 and 24 carats gold.

For the 18 carats gold and up,  they are recognized by the mule head hallmark with a number:

- number 3 for the 18 carats
- number 2 for the 22 carats
- number 1 for the 18 carats

If the jewelry is less than 18 caracts the hallmarked by a head of a gazelle
